Cerrado pears in Syrup

INGREDIENTS

2 Cerrado pears
3 cloves
50g of sugar (3 tbsp)
500ml of water (2 ½ teacups)

Preparation
Peel the pears, cut in half and remove the seeds. Place the water to boil on high heat adding the sugar. After 1 minute add the cloves. As the water begins to boil, add the pears. Lower the heat, cover and leave to cook until the pears are soft and syrup has formed.
